Supply Lists for Various Projects
 

These lists were compiled from suggestions made by list members on what they felt were
good supplies for starting into candlemaking and soapmaking.

FOR ALL CRAFTS LISTED BELOW, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING BASIC ITEMS:
digital scale that will weigh to 1/10th (.1) ounce
candy thermometer
paper towels and/or old rags
 

Candlemaking Supply List

Wax
Gel for Gel Candles
Glass or wax embeds for gel candles
Wax additives (vybar, stearic, universal additive)
Fragrance Oil
Color dye
Wicks
Warning Labels
Containers (jars)
Metal molds for pillars, votives
Wick Pins
Labels or Hang Tags with string
Wick stretchers (tongue depresser with hole drilled in it/craft sticks/ and paper clips or clothes pins work well)
Gutter snips/heavy scissors/toenail clippers to clip wick
Crock Pot, Presto Pot, or Double Boiler for melting wax or gel.
Pour Pot
Ladle (large for dipping out into pour pot)
Ladle (small gravy-type for removing too much poured wax)
Heat gun
Fire Extinguisher
De-Solv it
Heavy plastic spoons for stirring
Apron or old shirt
Old pan for water to keep pour pot warm
Metal skewer to stir in FO and color in pour pot
Digital timer (for those that like to be precise)
